Have you ever stayed?
Have you once not passed by in a hurry?
Have you ever recognized – spellbound by my beauty and strength –
What power runs through me,
How life talks through me –
But you do not see me so often …

Stop!
Perceive that I was always your brother.
I feel, I aim at the light,
Deserve respect – do not forget me.

I grant you protection against the rain, shade you.
Full of love for humanity I begin to bloom.
Look up to me, approach me –
Sky and Earth are attached to me.
I whisper to you the secrets of the world –
I can love you and can heal you –
But for this you must stay at least for a short while.

Look at me, recognize me,
Because I am your brother,
Do not forget me!
