A Magic Night of Sorrow and Hope
I feel that something in the wood is other than usual.
There is a happy mood that is mysterious at the same time.
The senses are sharpened.

Like from afar I mean to hear the music of elves.
The songs they are singing are merry and joyous.
Songs that echo through the night that will not become dark.
Songs, penetrating deep into my soul.
That let me forget this world and make me dreaming.

But beyond all high mountains, under oaks and beeches dense.
There, where the moss has a sappy green and
The light breaks through the foliage,
Lies a pool deeply hidden, legendary and mythical,
Carries a whispering secret, conceals its power in the
Star Child in WinterCarefully, I step on the white dusted grass.
The frozen evening dew moistens me.
It is cold – I do not feel it.
Only the silence of the night is all around me.

My hair becomes entangled in an icy wind.
So that I fear to be blown away.
I reach out for the branch of a tree
To seek help and protection.

In front of me I can see the forest in awesome loftiness.
The trees welcome me.
Finally I arrive at the spot I am heading to –
The clearing – a spiritual place.

I stop in the middle of this circle –
Symbol of eternity, image of perfection.
I wait and only my breath can be heard.
Time seems to stand still.

Then, at last – the cloud
Nocturnal Woods
I see the sky, the moon and the earth -
Dreaming, meditating.
It is the air, the fields and the woods ...
Starlit is the night.
My soul relaxes
And floats through the silence.

Second! Stand still and stay!
You are just so wonderful!
Let all the others move on,
Drops in the sea of time -
Past.

The wood does not hear the waves,
But the trees know my silent song.
Leaves are touched by the moonlight.
Stricken by the silvery wonder,
My heart sees the truth of existence.
My Old Friend
I just wanted to see you again, my old friend of childhood days.
I had so many things to say to you
And knew that you would understand me.
Already as a little girl I visited you
With all my problems.
I felt safe with you
And all grief flew away.
When I was weeping in your arm,
You have caressed my hair
With your green leaves,
My old friend.

Today you fell!
I came too late.
You will never sway in the wind again.
You have to lie chopped by the wayside.
Some passers-by do not respect the rest of life
And tear at your green boughs
Which bend to the earth, dying.
Who will give me the peace now
That I found in your shade
Some Time in InfinityBut I know there is another world
Some time in infinity.
Some time I will meet you again,
In the light dwelling of continuity.

I lay at the creek and think of you,
Not far from me you are standing.
The water is quiet,
Your leaves do not rustle,
Silenced in my heart as well
Every day's pain neverending.

You give me strength,
You comfort me,
Also in the greatest need.

My thanks are yours,
My good friend, my tree,
Forever,
Never I would like to miss you.

You are the ashes,
Burnt in many dreams.
But from your ashes,
The diamond is forming itself.

I hold a diamond into the starlight,
Move myself to its radiance.

A Tale of Elves and Fairies
At a time, when humans still believed in faeries and elves, they possessed power. A power of which they were not conscious. They created what they thought and only by their will-power the fabulous creatures of their fantasies came to life. So it happened that the lonely dark woods were suddenly populated by gentle wood spirits. Delicate elves, dainty nymphs, graceful little fairies swinging themselves from branch to branch left sparkling stardust on their ways. Dream of an Elf
There, where the moon shines on the moss,
Where everything radiates in silver and gold,
Where elves and fairies walk hand in hand -
There is my home.

Where the air smells of trees
And where the greatest secret of my heart lies
Is the place I feel like home.

There, where everyone believes in the good
And where inner values still count.
Where all beings are accepted -
There is in the dark light of the night
The bright moon with magical force and soft shine.

Under the protection of the breathing power of the woods
The forest grants me tranquility and deep spiritual peace.
In the origin of my existence I experience

Entreaties to Nature
You gave us the sun for our time
And we know that when it will sink forever
Also each life on this planet will be extinguished.
In vain were all hopes, plans
And their fulfilments.

Let our hearts love and not hate,
Let our hands do good whenever it is needed
So that they help and do not kill.

Let our transitory and often hard lifes
Find faith and support with your powers.
With that we put up resistance to
Injuries and afflictions and do not let us
Deviate from our good intentions.

When our lips express our thoughts
Let them always form words of truth and of good will.
And that nobody is harmed in his dignity and reputation

Often I have forgotten the time.

Breaking under the weight.
Fogs are spinning and spreading
Along paths and ravines.

Snowflakes fall softly like in a dream -
I wander silent through the limitless space.
And far away, world and time sink with me
Into the great white solitude.

In the evening, smooth dark wings
Spread gently blessing
Over all hills and forests
The comforting night.

Black bird of night,
My glance strikes you.
Far, immense far,
You are flying and you never come back.

Time stands still when I see you.
Gently the clouds pass by.
When day goes to rest
Then I want to flee with you.

Away, lost in the night,

Eternal Wood
Eternal wood with thousands of tree-tops,
In your halls dwells peace.
With your incessant rustle
You still the longing of my heart.

In silent devotion, the mouth must
Fail there miserably.
Only bird-singing has here the right
To beat the time.

Each tree loves its neighbour,
Together they carry the weight.
Caress each other tenderly with the branches,
Hugs themselves when they like.

For how many animals do you offer
A safe habitat?
For how many flowers do you care
Which trust blindly your protection?

Eternal wood with thousands of tree-tops,
Mother Earth may preserve you.
At all times and forever

The Choice between Life and DeathThere was a time in this life that was my happiest but also the most sorrowful. In this short period I was allowed to live the highest feelings of gladness but also learned a lot of things. I have learned that a connection should never be one-way or the other one did not know what to begin with. And the moral was – but I hope it was not my final lesson – an elemental soul and a human soul can never be soul mates.

I never have had what is called numerous friendships, was always confronted with the words "You are strange". Thus made me very distrusting towards people around me and I preferred getting lost in astral travel rather than

Silent voices tell of ties
Knotted by magic power -

When night
Raises her velvety dress
And wraps me up.
Night in the Autumnal Wood
Slowly the sun is setting in the distance,
In the sky already the first stars are twinkling.

The river is shimmering like a silver band.
Peace invades the whole land.

Full and round the moon illumines the earth,
So that it will finally become night again.

But in the middle of the wood –
There is a clearing fair –
An elf is sitting under the trees –
Lost in musing –
I was sunk in better times.

Silent, timeless -
One with nature –
Moonlight in the autumnal wood.
Leaves glisten softly,
Music strikes up
Beautiful like starlight.

The whisper of the worlds,
The glances of magic,
And the eternity of elves
FriendshipFriendship means to give,
But also to take -
Solidarity in joy and sorrow.

Friendship gives hope
And grants happiness as well -
It is assistance in times of loneliness.

Friendship must grow,
You have to cultivate it -
By frankness and honesty.

Friendship means to love
And to be loved -
It depends on mutuality.

Friendship demands
Understanding for the other -
Despite his weak points and fallability.

Friendship does not live on advantage
But on feelings -
On the same thoughts at the same time.

Friendship must hear,
Friendship must see -
The other's happiness, expectation and grief.

Finding Yourself

But surely you always have to work on yourself to become 'better'. Not sure if you can just be satisfied with who you are and leave it at that. What do you think?

Well, I would say that it depends. I am satisfied with having found myself. There are others always on the constant search for whom they are and will never find as they are not satisfied with what they are seeing/being confronted with.
It is good not to be satisfied with given situations or things you have already achieved. A satisfaction here would mean a standstill. People are constant learners as long as they would like to change/transform something - and thus only works with being unsatisfactory and curious.
But: Are you satisfied with being human? You can work on you to become "better", but can you ever work on changing race? You cannot make yourself an animal, a plant - can you. Even if you are unsatisfied with being human, you have to accept it.
Ask a cat, if she wants to be a plant or a human - well, I do not know .... I think that she is satisfied with being a cat ^^

Not sure if cat is capable of realising what she is :) And yes, I agree that even if you accept yourself, you have to continuously seek self-progress. That's what I was getting at.
